Assinie Mama Project
Assinie Mama is a remote village on a Peninsula at Assinie Mafia.
The special geographical situation makes it difficult to access to education, medical care, and stable energy, especially for children, Pregnant women and the elderly.
The project focuses on three key points:
School
- Renovation of the existing elementary school
- Secure roofs, stable floors and usable classrooms
- New school furniture, as well as play and sport areas for the promotion of social development.
Healthcare centre
- Extension and basic medical equipment
- Reliable power supply by solar energy
- Base supply for emergencies, treatments, and births.
Accommodation for a midwife
- Safer living space directly on the spot
- Continuous medical care for pregnancy and birth
- Reduction of health risks for both mother and child
The project combines infrastructure, health and education to a long-term perspective for the entire community.
